Core Analytics Key Concepts
The purpose of the Core Analytics module is to evaluate system utilisation data, identify support needs across your SaaS application, interrogate individual business processes and assess content and communication effectiveness both as part of retrospective analysis and future activity planning.
This document aims to support the interpretation of Core Analytics:
Page Loaded Event - This event fires every time a web page loads, or for Single Page Application, every time the Adopt platform updates its context
Adopt Loaded Event - This relates to a group of events, one for each Module, that determine if an Adopt Module has loaded for the user on a page e.g. Split Screen Loaded (means SS is made available to the user)
Intervention - Is the term used to group all Content I.e. Tooltips, under one description to make it easier to interpret the items created in, or loaded into, Adopt
Adopt Viewing Event - This relates to a group of events that determine if a user has viewed or clicked on the specific Intervention e.g. Content Viewed (means a user has clicked on a piece of Content in order to view it)
Users - A unique count of users, so a user is only counted once in the context of the Filters or Dimensions that are applied to the Page
Targeted User % - A calculation for the Number of Users who have an Adopt Loaded Event DIVIDED BY the Number of Users who have a Page Loaded Event
Adopt User % - A calculation for the Number of Users who have an Adopt Viewing Event DIVIDED BY the Number of Users who have an Adopt Loaded Event
Adopt Views - The number of times we have recorded an Adopt Viewing Event
Adopt Users - The number of users we have recorded having an Adopt Viewing Event
Duration - The Number of seconds between an Adopt Viewing Event and the next Event e.g: [Adopt Viewing Event] user 1234 views an item of Content at 09:48:00 [Next Event] user 1234 has a Page Loaded Event at 09:49:30 Duration is calculated at 1 minute 30 seconds
Av. Duration - The Average Duration WHERE the Duration is BETWEEN 3 AND 1800 seconds. We apply this clamping technique to mitigate the impact of users becoming inactive on their device, where we would be unable to detect next event and which would exaggerate the average.
Adopt Engagement % - The Number of Adopt Views which had a Duration of >=3 seconds (for Smart Pages and Content) OR >= 2 seconds (for Tooltips) DIVIDED BY The Number of Adopt Views
