Understanding Adopt Modes

There are three Adopt modes:
Adopt Editor can only be accessed by authorized editors. You can create, edit, manage, or delete the contextual and visual guides that aid your users or visitors to navigate throughout all business application processes.
Note: As you can see above, Adopt conveniently locates the toolbar either on the left or right side of your application screen. Adopt automatically provides a preview of the steps as you click on the steps. However, you can only preview the Context Help and the hot-spot type of widgets in Agent mode. Turn off the Adopt Editor to switch to Agent mode.
The Adopt Agent mode is where the created guides will be visible to anyone who visits your application: it is the view that your users and visitors will see. Users and visitors are not able to edit any guide or its steps, so if changes are required, content editors should open the Adopt Editor mode by clicking on the Adopt Chrome Extension Icon.
Note: Agent mode is where the Adopt widget (a question mark by default) is visible in your application.
This is the management console where administrators can see and manage how Adopt works.
In the console, you can: • Manage Adopt users • Holistically view and manage guides • Define the Context Help options • Change various settings o localization and language settings o integration settings o visual settings (themes) • See analytical reports • Track the user behavior • Display the digital adoption performance
