# Using Element Selector

Creating dynamic guidance across all your SaaS applications is made easy with Adopt 2.0’s no-code Element Selector. Web elements are targeted interactively with 3 stages – Select, Refine and Confirm. <br>

## Configuration

### **Select**&#x20;

The Element Selector is activated within the Browser session whenever a New Step is created.

Alternatively, the Element Selector can be re-launched via the Position tab of the Editor.

Once the Element Selector has been launched, use the cursor to hover over the web element that you wish to assign guidance to.

The Control Panel provides several visual & functional options that can be used to sharpen the selection.

### **Refine**

Use the Up & Down arrows within the control panel to adjust the captured element. This will also impact on the Element Strength that is indicated with the power bar. \
Captured attribute data is displayed within the control panel, this is useful to determine if any classes or IDs may be dynamically created. This type of attribute can impact the stability of the selection. \
Administrators can fine tune the attributes to be included / excluded within the Selector System area of the Management Console.

### **Confirm**

Click the tick icon within the control panel. This will return you to the Editor.
