# Creating and managing Playlists

Playlists enable organizations to embed existing Media or Articles within their SaaS applications.  Playlists can be accessed within the Adopt Context Help panel based on the configuration of Adopt contextual guidance rules and conditions.

A Playlist configuration is managed in 3 key areas:

1. Adopt Management Console – How new Playlists are created, or existing ones are managed
2. Playlist Editor – Can be launched from any Playlist within the Management Console. This is where the creation of Media items within the Playlist are configured
3. Guide Settings -  how you can control Rules targeting and global display settings
