# Configuring Guide rules

From the Step Editor, access the **Guide Settings**, then click the **Rules** tab. 

Within Guide Rules are 2 sections, Profile and Visitor. This enables the configuration of guides depending on whether your Space has been configured with an API profile integration or not. For the purposes of the training, we will be using Visitor rules. 

***Note:** API profile configuration is not covered within the “Getting Started” modules*
