# Adding localized content

1. Sign in to the Management Console with your credentials
2. Click on the name of the application you want to work on
3. Click **Guides** from the menu pane on the left
4. Click Open in Editor for the guide that you want to add localized content to

6. Click the **Content** tab
7. Choose the language from the **Content language** dropdown
8. Edit the Step Content by providing content in the chosen language
9. **Save** your settings

Localization of content will allow you to create guides to accommodate content for that language.

***Note:** Adopt does not automatically translate the step contents to the newly added language. You must add the translated content and there are two ways of doing this. Firstly, you can do it manually for each language, or secondly is via an import and export of the step's content. This way, you can download the guide’s content in CSV format, translate them externally into the desired languages and upload them back to Adopt.*

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs-adopt.nexthink.com/in-application-guidance/using-content-localization/adding-localized-content.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
